Key of D. [D] There's a Yellow Rose in Texas that I am going to see. No [A7] other cowboy knows her nobody only me. She [D] cried so when I left her it like to broke her heart, And [G] if we ever [D] meet again we [A7] never more shall [D] part. [D] She's the sweetest rose of color this cowboy ever knew. Her [A7] eyes are bright as diamonds they sparkle like the dew. You may [D] talk about your Clementine and sing of Rosalie. But the [G] Yellow Rose of [D] Texas beats the [A7] Belles of Tennes-[D]see. [D] Where the Rio Grande is flowing and stars are shinning bright, We [A7] walked along together on a quiet summer night. She [D] said if you remember when we parted long ago, You [G] promised to come [D] back again and [A7] never leave me [D] so. [D] I'm going back to see her my heart is full of woe. We'll [A7] sing the song together we sang so long ago. We'll [D] pick the banjo gaily and sing the songs of yore, And the [G] Yellow Rose of [D] Texas will be [A7] mine for ever [D] more.
